Daenerys Targaryen from George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series.

This is painted in Photoshop. A reference photo was used to get at least some sort of likeness to the actress Emilia Clarke who plays the character in the HBO television series.

I haven't read any of the books yet (I am terribly slow when it comes to reading stuff and many times I get distracted once I actually manage to get a book and start turning the pages). But I bought the first book Game of Thrones from the local bookstore. It is English version paperback so it was pretty affordable and concidering there are more books so the whole series shouldn't be too huge investment compared to hardcover books which many times are two or three times the price which doesn't mean that I am not appreciating the series but it is just logical, considering my ineptitude to sit down and read books in limited time. I also have a backup plan if I fail in reading: audio books! So, there you go.

I am not even claiming to being original with this picture since my main focus was to warm up my skills because it has been quite a long time since I have drawn or painted anything, neither on computer nor traditionally. I chose the subject simply because she is rather pleasing to the eye.

I also used the House Targaryen sigil that can be found as a wallpaper on the show's official website.
